To avoid electric shock or damage to the device, do not attempt to measure DC voltage higher than 1000 V.

Procedure for measuring DC voltage with a multimeter:

  1. Connect the black measuring wire to the connector COM, and red - in the connector VΩmA.
  2. Set the rotary switch to the position DCV (V). If the measured voltage level is unknown, select the largest range and then reduce it to a more accurate reading.
  3. Connect the test leads in parallel to the circuit being examined.
  4. The measured value will appear on the display . If the polarity of the probes ( red +, black ) if it does not match the polarity of the measured voltage, a sign will appear on the display -.
